Southwest Middle School Athletics

Southwest Middle School (SOM) offers a variety of athletic opportunities through our Middle School Athletic League (MSAL) and Border View YMCA to eligible students which serve to complement SOM’s Physical Education program and are perfect for students who are motivated to participate in team sports outside of class.  Opportunities include Flag Football, Girls and Boys Soccer, Girls and Boys Basketball, Girls Volleyball, Boys Baseball and Girls Softball, Cross Country, Cheer, and Dance.   SOM serves our athletics program with highly skilled coaches, and actively prepare our student athletes for success in high school sports and beyond.  All student-athletes must be academically eligible to participate, have athletic clearance and parent consent, maintain a 2.0 or above grade point average (GPA) and be in good standing on campus.
